  2. In LS I would like to hold Shift or CTRL (CMD) and then when I manipulate (Rotate, Move) a sceneobject I want it to snap to whole numbers: rotating with 15 degress per 'snap' or move whole 10 centimeters.

  5. The Hosted WebAR feature is amazing... but it lacks the option to take pictures/videos. This is a huge barrier as many people don't have Snapchat but would like to use our filters and we don't have the resources to make our own App/Website.

  7. This is not exactly 5.0-specific but it could be a good opportunity to implement new native hints to Lens Studio. Specifically I'm frequently in need of using a hint to trigger the "SnapRecordStartEvent" event. A hint for "SnapImageCaptureEvent" could also be added. These events have been added somewhat recently, however no hints were added along them.

  8. Would be great if the user context system could get more information.

    Right now for instance we can only get a city name.

    It would be nice to get the state/province and country as well. This has many uses and clients ask for it basically every day of my life lol. For instance, showing sports teams, showing license plates on 3d cars, flag back drops, localized holidays, and many more.

  10. Current RenderTexture's have no way to have custom initialization, which is useful for scenarios when trying to use RenderTextures without a clear flag (which also doesn't currently work). This would allow for painting effects without having to use ProceduralTextureProviders (which are expensive due to CPU access and lack of block memory writing operations).

  11. When making a text component, it should be possible to have multiple text styling options within the text field. For example, it should be possible to only have one word be in a bold weight and blue, and the rest of the text in regular weight and white.

    I was checking the Face Expression guide and noticed that it's still mentioning a deprecated API getExpressionWeightByName('MouthClose')

    This API doc was updated:

    But this one still uses the deprecated API:

    Also, the Face Expression template available in the asset library uses deprecated APIs and gives out the warning shown in the image attached

    Apply to prefab - save changes to only this component onto the prefab
    Revert to prefab (if component already exists on prefab)- revert only this component to the saved prefab

  15. Bug appears on Camera Kit and Snapchat too.
    Segmentation not working properly on latest iPad chip and probably latest iPhones. Body Instance Segmenation is not even showing!
    Related to new Apple GPU architecture ?

  16. recently tried to build a creature procedurally with Mesh builder < https://developers.snap.com/lens-studio/api/lens-scripting/classes/Built-In.MeshBuilder.html > but was disappointed to discover that the bounding box culls automatically to a static volume. This means that the creature couldn't crawl around the world. This functionality limits many creative LS projects from happening. Allowing the boundary box to be accessed via script would help (making it a scene object) or decoupling it from a reliance on a camera target.

  19. When pressing ‘W’ to move an object, the ‘Space’ setting (World/Parent/Local) is reset to 'Parent'. When rotating with 'E', it resets to 'Local'. It would be great if a custom space setting would be remembered, ideally per SceneObject.

  20. Media Picker has one big issue on phones (at least tested on iphones)

    The first image automatically triggers the media picked callback (this is not the case in studio but on device it is), so If I hook into that callback I have to block the first trigger. But then if you tap that first photo it doesn't trigger the callback so users just can't select it without first selecting another. The only work around is adding a dedicated UI button to "confirm".

    My suggestion is to either not trigger the selected event unless the user taps an item or…
