Automatically move created assets into folders
When adding a new component, it often creates many new assets (more than the previous lens version), eg: for materials, shaders, images, etc. These quickly pile up and get messy in the asset manager. If assets were automatically organised into folders (like in Spark AR) it would save time developing.
16 votesSo currently, all new assets that are created for the past couple of months -- are being built this way. The assets will move into a single folder.
We will scope whether or not updates to all old assets make sense!

Shareable Test Links for Smooth Debugging
Currently the way preview on device works is to pair the snapchat account and send the lens to the device. Which works good but not efficient when I want to send the realtime updates to other folks/clients to test on their devices. Also sometimes I want to compare two versions of my lens one before changing and one after changing something. With shareable links all this can be streamlined with each link being unique to that version of the lens plus easily shareable with other folks.

Body segmentation textures per person
Currently the body segmentation texture segments all visible bodies into one mask, it would be convenient to have an option to specify an ID that determines which body gets segmented in the mask texture.

Hand segmentation textures for left, right or both hands
Currently the hand segmentation texture only works for one hand, it would be convenient to have an option to specify which (or both) hand gets segmented.

Feature to delete all assets not directly referenced in the scene
In 4.55.1 and a some versions before that, we were able to delete all assets that weren't referenced in the scene, this feature was marvelous to help preserve order in the project files and for optimization purposes. If possible please bring that feature back. As it is honestly an amazing feature.

Photo and video recording for snap hosted Web AR lenses
Snap Web AR lenses work amazingly well, but they lacks recording ability. Would be nice to have the same UI as on Snap (tap to take a picture, hold to record a video).

Dual Camera Lenses
I would like the ability to make a lens that uses the front facing camera and the world facing camera at the same time. The reason is so that I can animate blendshapes on the face mesh with MY FACE while the camera feed is from the world facing camera.

Lens Studio Recording should record in lens audio
Currently I have to use third party software in order to get audio recording from Lens Studio with video capture. I would like to do this just with Lens Studio.

Improve Undo Command (Ctrl + Z)
In LS 4 you could undo after importing something to the Resources/Asset Browser panel.
In LS 5 it only undo stuff in the Objects/Scene Hierarchy panel.
So if you import something, regret it and try to undo, it's going to undo the last action on the objects panel instead of the actual last action that was the import.

3D ML assets no settings or visible
Material is not accessible just as the FBX. Also asset is not visible in scene preview.

Add More Nodes to the Script Graph
The script graph in Lens Studio 5.0.5 is missing a massive amount of nodes that makes it possible for non-programmers to build lenses. Even simple nodes like add and subtract are missing.

We are hoping to work on a solution in future releases. We hope that in the meantime -- you can use 4.55

Improve 3d Asset generation
I love using 3D Asset Generation in Lens Studio, but it is geared toward generating "whole" things rather than single accessories commonly used for building lenses. If I ask for a "Cleopatra head accessory" - I will get the whole bust. If I ask for animal ears I will get the entire animal head etc. As a comparison, Meshy gave me 2 options with separated ears. Also if there is a way to separate generated 3D objects that are not touching each other right in Lens Studio or generate only one thing out of a pair like for ears or…

Shadows Support For Bitmoji
So I think this has been requested multiple times on discord as well but yeah native option on 3D Bitmojis would add more detail to the experiences. Thanks to the new Inspect Preview I was able to see all the render mesh visuals of the bitmoji being added to the scene so I quickly wrote one script to navigate through and enable shadows dynamically through it but that way also didn't work coz I guess the mesh data wasn't available however I was able to change out the materials tho. Shadow and material options would be great properties to expose…

Move the delete asset button away from the rename button and other common buttons
The delete asset button is right next to all the other common asset options in LS 5. Unlike in 4.55 where it was away and even had a line break before it. I keep accidentally clicking it. It would be a nice quality of life change and save me great turmoil. Pics attached showing the two different locations on 4 & 5

Add new native hints
This is not exactly 5.0-specific but it could be a good opportunity to implement new native hints to Lens Studio. Specifically I'm frequently in need of using a hint to trigger the "SnapRecordStartEvent" event. A hint for "SnapImageCaptureEvent" could also be added. These events have been added somewhat recently, however no hints were added along them.

Send a mail when Draft lens is ready
A mail is not send when a Draft lens is ready. This feature is used to quickly send out test links to clients. Would be nice to get a notification as there's none right now.

find usage
Now that the Asset Browser gets populated fast (as Image, Flat and Material is added automatically every time an image is added in the Scene Hierarchy). I do often have to right-click and Find Usage (the hotkey cmd/ctrl-U is unfortunately discontinued). I suggest adding a column in the Asset Browser that shows how many times an element is used (see example)

Optimize my lenses website for mobile
Right now the my-lenses site does not work on mobile. It used to kinda work even though it wasn’t sized properly and I used it often.
It would be nice to get a proper mobile optimized view. It’s very useful for when clients need a link and I’m out and about or when I go do something else away from my pc when the lens is in review.
