Monetize Lenses
This is probably not related to Lens Studio it self but it would be good for the ecosystem to bring back Digital Goods. It gives more value to invest time and skills into working for Snap projects.
3 votesWe want to bring back IAP, but there are some things we need to do first to give it a better chance at driving results for you all. In the meantime we're bullish on Lens+ and think this can be a huge opportunity. More on this soon...

Cylindrical Image Targets
Was recently exploring 8th wall and one thing that stood out was cylindrical and conical image targets. Given that we have soo many designs in real life that are on curved surfaces like bottle, poles, pipes etc. cylindrical targets would really help in Lens Studio as well
3 votesThanks for this feedback Krunal. This is something long talked about. I'm curious, to what degree do you think that training your own custom object detection models solves for this?

Interactive elements without script
It would be nice if the user can tap in space (in the air) and act as if the AR object will respond without using any script. We (creators) could make an interactive slideshow or presentation when an interactive element (such as a button) will be doable without any script.

Better Audio Component
We need better Audio Component, (scrub forward/backward, pause, stretch)
AudioComponent currently does not support dynamic playback rate or pitch adjustment, nor does it offer any time-stretching capability necessary for realistic scratching.
2 votesSome of this can be accomplished my manipulating the Audio Component directly (https://developers.snap.com/lens-studio/api/lens-scripting/classes/Built-In.AudioOutputProvider.html)
But understood on the feedback. We will look into it

Clear persitant storage on device
It would be handy to remotely clear persistant storage on the physical device via Lens Studio. To do it now you need to go deep in the Snapchat settings to do so.
2 votesThanks for this feedback, we will discuss this with the team and let you know our thoughts!

Double click on Script name should go to editor
I would like to double click on the script in the Inspector and go instantly to my code editor of choice. Now I need to highlight the script file and double click on the file in the assetbrowser, this was working in 4.55.

Face detection on Face mask tool
In Lens Studio versions 4.00, there was a button to automatically align the face mask to the person's face, ensuring the mask fit perfectly and the eyes, nose, and mouth matched. Could this option be added again? It's not in versions 5.00.

Pivot Editing for 3D Objects
Would it be possible to introduce an option to edit or move the pivot point of a 3D object directly within Lens Studio?

Spectacles - Browser javascript control
Navigating and interacting with websites is a real pain point on the Spectacles at the moment. Being able to create custom UI elements in lenses to control websites would make the problems a lot better.
Doing this with JavaScript console commands mapped to lens input is the most obvious choice, but introduces security risk for the end user. But i think it's worth looking into as it would open up a world of possibilities.

World mesh should be accessible via script
Currently the world mesh mesh information is not accessible via script. This makes it difficult to do things like spatial understanding (i.e. voxelization of the mesh) as well as writing custom physics responses to the mesh.
2 votesHey Blake, would you say this is primarily for spectacles that you are looking for this?

Camera kit for web feature request: Button press event from Lens to web
I see that for keyboard on camera kit for web, we can easily get a keyboard event from lens to launch text input on the web app side. It would be great if we can have a simple button/touch event we can listen to on the web app side and perhaps able to differentiate the touch event by the touched component name.
This will be useful as sometimes I just want to launch a popup on my web app when a button in the lens is pressed, and I don’t really want to go through the trouble of setting up…1 vote -

Feature: "Snap Quest"
Launch a feature where users can create and share interactive "quests" using their snaps. A Snap Quest is a series of connected snaps that form a mini-adventure or challenge, like a treasure hunt or a city exploration. Users can design their quest by uploading snaps with clues, locations, or tasks (e.g., "Find this coffee shop and snap your favorite drink" or "Capture a sunset with…1 vote -
Add cloud-based project backup and syncing for creators
It would be incredibly helpful if Lens Studio allowed creators to store and sync their projects in the cloud. This way, if a device is lost, damaged, or replaced, all previously created lenses and project files can easily be recovered. It would also support cross-device work, streamline collaboration, and prevent loss of progress due to file corruption or hardware failure. As a growing Lens Creator, this feature would save time, reduce stress, and allow creators to build larger and more innovative projects with confidence.

AI Portraits Beta Error
The AI portraits have been showing me an error since I've tried to test the feature.
It starts with a few warnings and then turns into an error after Typescript compilation. I am using the latest Lens Studio 5.12 Build v5.12.0.25072205I am attaching the log file with this.

VFX Gen AI
It would be very handy to have a VFX Gen AI tool. Even just for quickly prototyping things. Would like it to generate textures for it as well, so if I said generate a vfx asset of confetti falling, it would generate a flip book of confetti images and build the vfx. Then I'd go in and tweak it as needed.

Feature Suggestion for Lens Web Builder & Mobile App: Add Lens Tag Input on Submission
Hey team,
As a Snap Lens Network partner, we at Arexa & Bharat XR have been actively hosting SnapAR meetups across India — bringing together creators, students, and professionals to explore the power of AR using Snapchat’s ecosystem. In our recent sessions, we introduced participants to the new Lens Web Builder and Lens Studio mobile app, and the feedback has been phenomenal. The tools are incredibly easy, fun, and accessible — especially for first-time users.
That said, we wanted to share a small but valuable suggestion based on our experience:
During our meetups, we ask all participants to use our…

Preview Stops Working with TypeScript Errors
When writing TypeScript code that contains errors, the preview stops functioning, even if the erroneous code has not been added to the scene. Additionally, the logger does not display any information regarding the errors.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Write TypeScript code with syntax or type errors.
- Observe that the preview stops working.
- Check the logger for error messages.
Expected Behavior: The preview should continue to work, and the logger should display relevant error messages indicating what is wrong with the TypeScript code.
Actual Behavior: The preview ceases to function, and no error messages are shown in the logger.

UI Feedback Improvement for Importing External Resources in Lens Studio
Hi Lens Studio Team,
I’d like to request an improvement to the UI feedback when importing external resources into Lens Studio.
This morning, I attempted to add a script to a new component by searching for it by name. Lens Studio found the script, but since it wasn’t in the project folder, it automatically began importing it. However, because there was no clear indication of the import process (apart from the console log, which I didn’t check immediately), I attempted to add the script multiple times, only realizing later that it was still being imported. Eventually, this caused Lens Studio…
3 votesHey Vincent,
As attached, we do have a WIP indicator. However, it would be good for us to understand the crash a little bit better. (We are behind on this request, so you might have it anymore) but feel free to send the script.

Automatically move created assets into folders
When adding a new component, it often creates many new assets (more than the previous lens version), eg: for materials, shaders, images, etc. These quickly pile up and get messy in the asset manager. If assets were automatically organised into folders (like in Spark AR) it would save time developing.
26 votesSo currently, all new assets that are created for the past couple of months -- are being built this way. The assets will move into a single folder.
We will scope whether or not updates to all old assets make sense!
