Shareable Test Links for Smooth Debugging
Currently the way preview on device works is to pair the snapchat account and send the lens to the device. Which works good but not efficient when I want to send the realtime updates to other folks/clients to test on their devices. Also sometimes I want to compare two versions of my lens one before changing and one after changing something. With shareable links all this can be streamlined with each link being unique to that version of the lens plus easily shareable with other folks.
17 votesThis is a really good feedback on this. We have had discussions on this before. Nothing planned yet, but we will consider this more. Thanks!

Photo and video recording for snap hosted Web AR lenses
Snap Web AR lenses work amazingly well, but they lacks recording ability. Would be nice to have the same UI as on Snap (tap to take a picture, hold to record a video).
12 votesThanks for your feedback Denis! This is certainly a piece of feedback we have gotten a lot. We are looking into ways this might make sense.

View that shows which assets are contributing to overall project size
Currently it is very difficult to figure out which assets are contributing to overall project size, there should be a view that shows which assets are contributing to the project size and by what amount
10 votesTotally Agreed Blake and we encourage use
We currently show Remote asset size and Snap ML size in the performance toolkit: https://docs.snap.com/lens-studio/sponsored/optimization/lens-performance-toolkit#lens-performance-toolkit-overview
We are taking note for your considered improvements and we will consider that going forward

Change the lens name and icon
I would like to suggest the ability to change the lens icon and name in the newest versions without to re-upload lens files.

GenAI for SFX
While we now have exhaustive tools and features for visual generation, one of the way experiences really come alive is sounds and music etc. as well in addition to the visual appearance. A genAI tool like this would really accelerate the high quality development
7 votesThis is a really interesting idea and we have passed it to the Gen AI teams for consideration!

Hand segmentation textures for left, right or both hands
Currently the hand segmentation texture only works for one hand, it would be convenient to have an option to specify which (or both) hand gets segmented.
7 votesHey Rob, would you mind explaining a bit more about your use cases for this particular request? Especially double hand tracking. With one hand usually holding the phone, we don't see this use case too often!

Improve Undo Command (Ctrl + Z)
In LS 4 you could undo after importing something to the Resources/Asset Browser panel.
In LS 5 it only undo stuff in the Objects/Scene Hierarchy panel.
So if you import something, regret it and try to undo, it's going to undo the last action on the objects panel instead of the actual last action that was the import.
5 votesHey Caio, thanks for the report. Currently this is how lens studio 5.0 is setup. We will look into potentially tackling this in the future. Thanks for keeping this on our radar.

Camera lens
I have lenses that I designed myself, but I struggle a little while waiting and stopping at 200,000 and then fixing them

Record the lens after X
There's new internal lenses that access this feature. Have us access the Record Snap function after 'x' would be super nice to guide users through certain experiences. Of course there's a trigger on Record but my lenses have massively decreased reach and engagement if i implement this. There's also no internal hint available for on Record.
4 votesThanks for the feedback! We've added this request to the product team's backlog!

UGC submissions directly from a Lens
Many of the brands we work with run competitions that require their audiences to activate using a lens and then submit the content to enter.
Previously we were able to solicit submissions by having the user direct message the content but since the roll out of brand profiles, users must now: follow the brand -> unlock the lens -> create the content -> @mention the brand -> post it to their story.
The additional friction from these steps has seen a steep decline in the number of entries brands have been receiving for these style of campaigns.
In an ideal…

3D Object Tracking Flow
Similar to custom location AR, just minus the location.
4 votesWould love to hear more about the use cases here that are different than what you can do with ML models!

Fix Physics Bodies
Only Box and Sphere physics bodies currently have stable reactions to collisions. Other bodies (capsule, cone, cylinder) do not respond as stabley with effects such as clipping or fast acceleration happening on interaction. This currently makes them difficult to use in projects.
4 votesHey Blake,
So after review here, the problems here seem to stem from the physics library that our system was built on. We don't currently have plans to make updates there. But if something changes, we will let you know!

GEN AI + Garment Transfer
Garment Transfer and Gen-AI have completely transformed the way I create my digital fashion. Since discovering this workflow, I no longer have to spend a lot of time and effort creating digital fashion using 3D body tracking and 3D modeled garments, which is a huge advantage considering my busy schedule. Integrating Gen-AI into Garment Transfer on version 5.0 would be a game-changer, allowing many new AR digital fashion creators to emerge and start creating without having to learn the million tools required for the task.
I would love to see the Garment Transfer tool expanded on version 5.0, with the…
4 votesThank you for your feedback on Garment Transfer. Your Lens ideas using ChatGPT and Garment Transfer are so cool! We are definitely considering expanding on the upper body garment options soon. The team is aware of demand for lower body garment options as well!

Monetize Lenses
This is probably not related to Lens Studio it self but it would be good for the ecosystem to bring back Digital Goods. It gives more value to invest time and skills into working for Snap projects.
3 votesWe want to bring back IAP, but there are some things we need to do first to give it a better chance at driving results for you all. In the meantime we're bullish on Lens+ and think this can be a huge opportunity. More on this soon...

Double click on Script name should go to editor
I would like to double click on the script in the Inspector and go instantly to my code editor of choice. Now I need to highlight the script file and double click on the file in the assetbrowser, this was working in 4.55.
3 votesWe are reviewing this with our team and will update you soon on if we think this is something we can execute! Thanks!

Cylindrical Image Targets
Was recently exploring 8th wall and one thing that stood out was cylindrical and conical image targets. Given that we have soo many designs in real life that are on curved surfaces like bottle, poles, pipes etc. cylindrical targets would really help in Lens Studio as well
3 votesThanks for this feedback Krunal. This is something long talked about. I'm curious, to what degree do you think that training your own custom object detection models solves for this?

UI Feedback Improvement for Importing External Resources in Lens Studio
Hi Lens Studio Team,
I’d like to request an improvement to the UI feedback when importing external resources into Lens Studio.
This morning, I attempted to add a script to a new component by searching for it by name. Lens Studio found the script, but since it wasn’t in the project folder, it automatically began importing it. However, because there was no clear indication of the import process (apart from the console log, which I didn’t check immediately), I attempted to add the script multiple times, only realizing later that it was still being imported. Eventually, this caused Lens Studio…
3 votesHey Vincent,
As attached, we do have a WIP indicator. However, it would be good for us to understand the crash a little bit better. (We are behind on this request, so you might have it anymore) but feel free to send the script.

Feature Request: Continuous Physics Detection
While creating a game where users tilt their heads to keep a sphere balanced on a box platform, I encountered unstable physics that caused the object to shake, making interactions less smooth.
Introducing a continuous and stable physics detection system in Lens Studio could unlock exciting opportunities for creators, enabling more dynamic and immersive lenses like balancing games or precise virtual object interactions.
Thank you for considering this idea—I look forward to seeing how Lens Studio continues to evolve!
3 votesThank you for this great request. We are considering this with the team and will update you when we can. Thanks!

Adding a GPS Coordinates tool in the Screen Text
Adding a GPS Coordinates tool in the Screen Text feature of Lens Studio would be highly beneficial in various fields, especially in professional photography, engineering, and visual arts. Here's the importance of this tool
- Real-Time Geographic Documentation: Displaying latitude and longitude coordinates directly on the screen during recording or in captured scenes provides precise location data. This is useful for photographers and engineers who need to document specific locations accurately in their work. The coordinates become part of the image or video instantly, allowing easy tracking of the place without needing post-production processes or reviewing geographic data.
- Enhancing Field Project…
